Golf Fitness Exercises: Revolutionise Your Game and Be a Better Golfer

Golf Fitness Exercises: Revolutionise Your Game and Be a Better Golfer

Athletes know that fitness makes them better and reduces injuries, it is no different with Golf. But what exercises to use? Below are just a few examples:
  1. Cardiovascular exercises. These help improve stamina and endurance as they work the heart and lungs. These exercises can include jogging, cycling and swimming. These should be done about three times a week and the amount of exercise done should be increased gradually.
  2. Practice your swing, not with a club but with a medicine ball. This will help strengthen your core muscles, abdominal's and back. Hold the ball out in front in a stance as if you were addressing the ball. Swing! Do both ways so as to keep the muscle structure balanced.
  3. Weights, yes weights! These will help improve muscle tone and strength. So increasing your power. The whole muscle system should be exercised but a few for starters are, squats (legs), Bench press (chest), sit ups (abs), Bicep curls and tricep dips (upper arms)
These are just a few of the basic things that as a Golfer you can do to improve your Golf Fitness and your game. As time goes on you will probably want to expand your exercise portfolio, and you should. As with anything sport related seek advice from a professional, always.
