4 Reasons How A Golf Fitness Book Can Radically Improve Your Game,

4 Reasons How A Golf Fitness Book Can Radically Improve Your Game,

It is true, the correct information really can drop your handicap and amaze your Golfing buddies....

Warning: Not all Golf fitness books were created equal!

It is unfortunate fact that most of the help out there is actually poorly put together. The truth is that you want to improve your game and your health. You want to combine the two together. There is a bright shiny book on the shelf or the Internet and you buy it, all full of excitement.

When you open it all that shines is not Gold. For the program is not set out specifically for Golf. Rather it is more related to general fitness training with only a slight push towards Golf. We need the opposite! We need one that takes Golf and builds a fitness program around that. One that will makes us healthier and improve our game.

There are 4 specific components that any Golf fitness book should cover that will prevent you from wasting your money. These are:
  1. Strength building exercises that are Golf-specific (to help control the swing and deliver power), Cardiovascular (aerobic) for endurance, diet (all fitness programs need a specific diet) and finally, flexibility (to help prevent injury)
  2. It should show you how to assess your current golf fitness level. Give you a starting point per say. Also allows the Golfer to assess what is right for them right from the start. Therefore knowing that what they do will only help transform their game in to a thing of beauty.
  3. What is the point in doing any exercise, indeed anything, if you can not see what benefit it will bring? The book must show the Golfer how their game and fitness will benefit directly from the exercises it teaches. This will help motivate the Golfer to use the fitness training to gain the results they desire and help them transform their game.
  4. There should be progression. What is the point in starting a fitness program and it leaving you short? There are too many books and instruction courses out there that leave the reader wanting more. The book should provide this. As well as an incentive to progress as well, say in the form of a competition or similar.
My advice is that whenever you are looking for a book on Golf fitness to fully review your purchase. Make sure it is Golf fitness specific with its advice on exercises and nutrition, make sure it highlights the benefits of the exercises, also that it helps you work out where you are starting from and finally that it has a progressive program to take you higher levels of Golf fitness.

At Golf Fitness Help we want to provide all this to you and more.  One Golf fitness program we do recommend is Golf Fitness Challenge.  It is written by Susan Hill, a Golf fitness specialist, her work has been mentioned in Golf Illustrated and Travel Golf to mention two, and Craig Ballantyne, a strength and conditioning coach also a writer for several men's health publications.

Our advice is get a copy of Golf Fitness Challenge and enjoy and get more from your Golf.
